The first 8MW offshore wind turbine in China was hoisted

Shanghai electric has made a good start in Guangdong at the beginning of the 2020, according to Shanghai electric. Shanghai electric 8MW offshore fan has been hoisted in Shantou smart energy demonstration base. This is the first 8MW offshore wind turbine that has been hoisted in China, and the record of the highest power offshore wind turbine that has been hoisted in China has been raised to 8MW, marking another milestone for China offshore wind power.

Minhang  power plant  starts  construction of the first h-class gas turbine power station in China

In December 2019, Shanghai electric power minhang power plant gas-steam combined cycle generator unit demonstration project successfully poured the first concrete of the main workshop. This marks the China’s first h-class gas turbine power station has entered the comprehensive construction stage, and it is also the world’s first gt36-s5 h-class gas turbine power station.

The Shanghai functional platform supports the research and development of fuel cells, strengthening inter-provincial linkage

At the end of 2019, the Shanghai smart new energy vehicle r&d and transformation functional platform was approved by the municipal government to start construction. Of the construction investment, nearly 300 million yuan was used to purchase equipment for basic research on new energy battery materials and for research, development and testing of fuel cells.

Many experts believe that fuel cell vehicles are an important carrier for the hydrogen industry, which is emerging globally. The Yangtze river delta region can take the lead in making breakthroughs in laws and regulations, transforming hydrogen from “hazardous chemicals” to “energy” for management, and strengthening inter- provincial linkage, so as to provide institutional guarantee and application scenarios for the development of hydrogen energy industry, and welcome the arrival of green “hydrogen energy society”.

Sixty-one hydrogenation stations have been built in China

In 2019, the central and local governments issued a series of policies on the development of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle industry. In this context, as the downstream of the industrial chain, the number of hydrogen stations is rising.

From the first hydrogenation station in 2006 to the end of 2019, a total of 61 hydrogenation stations have been built (three of them have been demolished), 52 have been put into operation, and 72 are under construction/planned. Among them, Guangdong has built 15 refueling stations, ranking first. Seven hydrogen filling stations have been built in Shanghai, ranking second. Of the 52 hydrogen filling stations already in operation, 25 hydrogen filling stations had be added in 2019.

The world’s first hydrogen-powered tram goes into commercial operation

On December 30, 2019, a hydrogen energy tram developed by CRRC sifang co., ltd. was put into operation in Gaoming, Foshan, marking the world’s first hydrogen energy tram officially put into commercial operation, ushering in the “hydrogen era” for modern trams in China. Gaoming modern tram demonstration line, with a total investment of 1.07 billion yuan, is planned to be 17.4km long with 20 stations. The first phase of the demonstration line is 6.57km, with 10 stations. Initially, the line was equipped with five trams. The tram is a third-generation product with a 100% low floor and a 200kW hydrogen fuel cell. It only takes 15 minutes to fill up with hydrogen once and can run for about 100km.

China’s 2035 industrial plan adds new energy vehicles

On December 4, 2019, in order to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the new energy vehicle industry, the MIIT will work with relevant departments to draft the 《 new energy vehicle industry development plan (2021-2035) 》 to solicit public opinions until December 9.

According to the draft for comments, China will strive to make its core technology of new energy vehicles reach the international leading level within 15 years, and its quality brands have strong international competitiveness, so that China will enter the ranks of world automobile powers. At the same time, pure electric vehicles have become the mainstream, fuel cell vehicles have been commercialized, vehicles in the public sector are fully electrified, and highly autonomous intelligent networked vehicles are becoming popular, effectively promoting energy conservation, emission reduction and social efficiency.

Provincial energy  authorities  may  organize  and  give priority  to  the  implementation  of  the  2020  affordable  wind  power project

According to the national energy administration, the national energy administration has issued a 《 notice (draft for opinions) on matters related to wind power construction management in 2020》, seeking opinions from relevant competent authorities, institutions and enterprises on wind power construction management policies in 2020.

According to the request for comments, the project will be actively promoted in 2020. On the basis of the implementation of various construction conditions such as absorption, provincial energy authorities may organize and give priority to the construction of unsubsidized, parity wind power projects. We will actively support the construction of decentralized wind power projects. Provinces with grid-connected capacity and construction capacity exceeding the planned target have suspended the competitive allocation and approval of offshore wind power projects.
